DOPS Mascot

The DOPS Community Crime Prevention Summer Student Program hires students to work in their home communities each summer. This program is funded through Canada Summer Jobs. We provide an opportunity for qualified and motivated young people to gain work experience in a policing environment while providing a beneficial community service in their home communities. The Community Crime Prevention Summer students work closely with other youth workers organizing recreational and cultural events as well as promoting children's safety events. We have been fortunate to have several former students choose to pursue their training with our police service and are now full members.
